Application

   The breaking capacity of air circuit breaker refers to the maximum current that the air circuit breaker can reliably break. It is mainly used for short circuit protection of lines. Under short circuit condition, the current is  so huge (far beyond the rated current of the circuit breaker) that the circuit breaker will trip instantly. If the short circuit current is greater than the breaking capacity of the frame circuit breaker, it may not be able to break the circuit normally, and the fault will expand, causing huge losses.
